Tourism in Tetouan
Tetouan (in Spanish Tetuán) is a northern Moroccan city located 40 km south of the Spanish district of Ceuta and 60 km east of Tangier. This proximity with the Spanish enclave explains why the Spanish language is common in the city of Tetouan. Tetuan is picturesquely situated on the northern slope of a fertile valley. The houses are carved and painted in hispano-moresque designs.
