Stalheim Hotel
Stalheim Hotel

In the Nærøydalen Valley

The reputation of the Stalheim Hotel is linked to its unique location in the beautiful scenery of the Nærøydalen Valley. This valley, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage, has been, for the last 200 years, a famous source of inspiration for painters, poets and artists.

Historically, there was a farm in Stalheim. It was transformed in an inn in 1750 due to the increased numbers of travelers who travelled from Oslo to Bergen. In 1855, the first hotel was established with only 20 beds. Today, the hotel has 160 beds and is run by the Tønneberg family.
