Introduction to Egypt
Egypt is a country of the northeast corner of Africa associated to the Sinai Peninsula which is in Asia. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Red Sea to the east (+ Libya, Israel & Sudan). The great majority of its over 84 million people live near the banks of the Nile River, which is the craft of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization. Tourism has always been one of the most important sectors in Egypt’s economy since the modern age. Alexandria is the main summer resort.
