Railways in Lebanon & Syria
This travel brochure published just after the first World War, describes the railways lines in the Middle East territories under French mandate at that time ie. Syria and Lebanon. There was a line between Beirut and Damascus (via Rayak-Baalbek in the Bekaa valley) and another one between Alep and Rayak completed with minor lines between Tripoli, Homs and Hama in the West and Bosra and Deraa in the South.
About this oriental railways brochure
This 10,5 x 23 cm 6 pages travel brochure is illustrated with two grey illustrations: the first one shows the columns of the Jupiter temple in Baalbek and the other one shows the inner courtyard of the Great Mosque of Damascus also known as Umayyad Mosque.
